French fleet deploys hydrogen range extended vans

The la Manche region has one of the only hydrogen fuel cell stations in France, which will be used to refill the 1.8kg tank on the vehicles. Symbio FCell’s technology only charges the battery when it drops below a set level, extending the Kangoo Z.E.’s range by around 110 miles.

Fabio Ferrari, CEO of Symbio FCell, said:  ‘The ‘Range-Extender’ increases both driving range and availability of Electric vehicles for commercial usage, while reducing the investment in battery recharging infrastructure for large fleet.

‘Closer to a traditional ICE vehicle, this ensures seamless operations for professional intensive urban usages as demonstrated in previous experimentations such as La Poste.’
