The Mobileye technology uses a camera-based Driver Assistance System with advanced vision analysis technology to notify drivers of potential accidents. Alerts are provided of early collision warnings with oncoming vehicles, when pedestrians or cyclists enter their path, when drivers tailgate, and when drivers unintentionally deviate from their lane.

G4S Telematix has almost 10,000 units installed in vehicles in over 400 companies across Europe and said that its partnership with Mobileye comes at a time of increasing interest in health and safety initiatives as well as the growing necessity of multinationals to monitor their fleets’ performance throughout several countries.

Mike Maltezakis, managing director of G4S Telematix, said: ‘By combining our world-class solutions we can provide fleet managers an aftermarket system that fits to their existing vehicles, providing them with real-time event data that will help keep their drivers safe on the road by increasing their awareness, whilst sustaining the fleet’s ROI and improving bottom line.’

Iain Levy, director of business development at Mobileye, further added that ‘this collaboration will improve the efficiency and effectiveness for global fleet managers. G4S Telematics and Mobileye integrated solution will provide fleet managers with the ability to assess and compare driving behaviours, number of claims, fuel consumption and operating costs for their entire fleet around the world.’
