Geneva Motor Show: Audi reveals first images of TT prior to world debut
The third-generation model marks a design line reminiscent of the first model generation and includes elements from the R8.
There’s a restyled front-end with a more aggressive design and a repositioning of the four rings badge to replicate the R8 whilst in profile, the new model draws on the first generation’s classic design.
No images of the interior have been released but Audi says the dashboard is styled on the wing of an aircraft whilst the round air vents evoke the engines and incorporate the air conditioning controls, while the central MMI monitor is replaced by the Audi virtual cockpit.
Technical details remain scant but according to reports the TT will use VW’s latest MQB platform and a range of transversely mounted turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engines as well as diesel units, and will be joined by a two-seater roadster variant later.
