Geneva Motor Show: Mazda to debut Hazumi concept & new engine
The single image gives little away about the ‘next-generation subcompact concept’ but does show similarities with the Mazda3 grille and headlight set-up.
In a statement, the carmaker said: ‘The name HAZUMI, which means "bound" or "spring up" in Japanese, is particularly well-suited to a small car that appears to be bursting with energy. Built with no compromises to Mazda's engineering principles, the Hazumi expresses the ideal form for the company's next-generation subcompact.’
Geneva will also see the debut of Mazda’s SKYACTIV-D 1.5, a newly developed small-displacement clean diesel tipped for use in the new Mazda2, along an exhibit that commemorates the 25th anniversary of the MX-5.
