The German fleet market recorded a 5% decline last month.

The 4.5% decline marked the sector’s third negative month of the year and came as the private market registered a 6.5% drop while special channels maintained its growth, registering 32 units more than June last year. Overall, the total market finished just shy of 340,000 registrations, down 3.5% over last June’s tally but still remaining positive with a year-to-date growth of + 3.1%.

Within the true fleet top 10 manufacturer ranking, only the 10th-placed brand making a significant jump. VW and Audi took the top 2 spots with no changes from last June’s ranking. Mercedes in third and BMW in fourth pirouetted around each other followed by Skoda in fifth and Ford in sixth each performing the same manoeuvre.

Opel, Renault and SEAT all retained their places in seventh, eight and ninth spots respectively but Peugeot in 10th saw the most notable performance, with a monthly growth rate of 171.2% and a jump of nine places, driven by the 3008.
