IAM RoadSmart is to take part in the information-packed Masterclass conferences at this month’s Great British Fleet Event, highlighting essential safety information for operators.

Rebecca Ashton, head of policy and research at IAM, will speak on the subject of van safety at the Great British Fleet Event this month

The event takes place on 29 March 2022 at Novotel London West in Hammersmith and includes a packed line-up of the Masterclass conferences, exhibition and networking section, and the glittering Great British Fleet Awards in the afternoon.

Road safety charity IAM will be present throughout the event to spotlight the latest fleet risk management and duty of care considerations.

This includes an in-depth talk from Rebecca Ashton, head of policy and research, on the subject of van safety. This will discuss the growing number of van drivers on the UK’s roads, and the number of drivers entering van-driving professions, and how familiarisation training and van-focused driver safety policies can help avoid safety issues.

And in the exhibition section, IAM RoadSmart will present its driver training and risk management services, as well as engaging with visitors on the recent Highway Code updates to make sure fleets are aware of the changes and are educating drivers.

This includes providing visitors with free resources to inform drivers about the rules and showcasing a series of short e-learning modules that employers can use to give their drivers a knowledge check.

A large number of other fleet specialists will also be at the Great British Fleet Event on 29 March, showcasing latest solutions and thinking to fleet challenges across the board.
