ICFM appoints BMW corporate operations manager to its council
Chairman of the ICFM, Roddy Graham, commented: ‘I am absolutely delighted to welcome Steve Chater on board. Stephen Chater, a Member (MICFM) of the ICFM, has been working in the automotive industry for BMW for over 25 years. In this time he has held numerous roles within the BMW organisation and played an active role in improving education within the sector. He spent six years at BMW in various training roles, latterly as head of the BMW Group Academy, responsible for all training and development. He was then appointed sales development and network CRM manager responsible for tactical sales and marketing, sales communication and recognition programmes plus BMW and MINI network CRM processes and procedures.
His latest senior management role is head of corporate operations, where he is responsible for all BMW and MINI corporate sales channels, including dealer, government, motability, leasing and end-user customer teams along with management of both BMW and MINI competitive residual value positioning within the Whole-life Cost Providers.
