Indicata European stock locator to solve dealers’ cross-border used car buying challenges

A new pan-European stock locator has launched from Indicata to help cut the time taken by dealers to source used car and van stock.

Demand for used cars is still rising at record levels across Europe, due to the major issues with new car supplies, and dealers are increasingly facing challenges in sourcing used stock.

As a result, a growing number of large franchised dealers are sourcing used vehicle stock across borders now to meet their group needs.

The new stock locator can help solve this by enabling dealers to filter the used stock they are searching for across Indicata’s database of 9 million live used vehicles in 13 European countries.

Dealers can base searches on parameters including location, make and model, fuel type, age, and mileage, length of time in stock and – importantly – price.

The stock locator then automatically plots of suitable vehicles on to a map, complete with contact details.

“In many cases there is not sufficient used stock in individual countries to meet dealers’ needs due to the ongoing new car supply challenge. That has meant dealers spending a great deal of time and effort locating that stock in other countries,” explained Andy Shields, Indicata Europe’s global business unit director.

“That’s where our stock locator comes in. It aims to make it quick and easy to locate stock across 13 European countries, which not only opens up a dealer’s choice, but it also enables them to find the most relevant stock at the best price,” he added.
