Featuring a 2+2 coupe seating layout that’s said to bring more leg room for rear passengers thanks to the use of genuine sports seats, the concept takes elements from the Q80 Inspiration concept shown at last October’s Paris Motor Show, including its sweeping lines, low roofline and quilted leather seats. It also adds Formula One-inspired touches from the Q50 Eau Rouge, including the aerodynamic gills behind the front wheel arches.

‘The Q80 Inspiration was an indication of Infiniti’s future design language,’ said Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti executive design director. ‘The Q60 Concept is the next step in the journey.

‘The sweeping lines of the Q80 Inspiration gave the Q60 Concept its coupe silhouette and looks while the endowed the coupe with its sports personality.’

Other features include custom 21-inch wheels whilst the interior gains hand-stitched leather and carbon fibre accents.

The Q60 concept will be debuted at the Infiniti press conference in Detroit on Tuesday 13 January.
