JLR moves into Brunei under new partnership
The move will bring Jaguar and Land Rover products together under one roof in a dedicated Jaguar Land Rover dealership.
David Blackhall, managing director, Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific, said: ‘Appointing Indera Motors opens a new chapter in Jaguar Land Rover's continued commitment to the Brunei market for premium vehicles. This is a new market for Jaguar and will refocus our Land Rover business, bringing strong growth potential. Selecting the right partner and having great products are the foundations to being successful across the region.’
Indera Motors Sdn Bhd has been the official service agent for Jaguar since September 2012 and, in April 2013, will open a new showroom, service and parts facility to accommodate both Jaguar and Land Rover products. It will also be making significant investment in another new facility in Bandar Seri Begawanto.
PA Ghaffar Idris, managing director, Indera Motors Automotive, said: ‘We are delighted to be appointed as the new importer and distributor for Jaguar Land Rover in Brunei. Many clients who have been visiting our Jaguar service facility have expressed an interest in the new Jaguar range, particularly the all-new 2.0 and 3.0 petrol engine 8-speed auto variants. I am confident we will soon see many of these new Jaguar models on the road in Brunei for the first time. Looking at the fantastic range of vehicles from Land Rover, such as the Evoque, All-New Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, we are confident that we will also be able to grow the Land Rover business in Brunei.’
