Electric vehicle fast-charging solutions provider Kempower is partnering with global asset finance company DLL to offer charger leasing solutions in various markets.

The partnership will deliver financing solutions to meet bespoke needs while helping to lower upfront costs of EV infrastructure

The Kempower Financing solutions will launch first in the UK, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Spain as well as Australia and New Zealand, with more markets expected to follow soon.

The partnership will deliver customised financing solutions to meet customer requirements while helping to lower the upfront costs of EV infrastructure, accelerating the deployment of charging devices.

The financing solutions, which may vary to suit individual markets, will include options such as financial leasing, operational leasing and retail instalment contracts, each with distinctions to support business needs.

For example, the financial lease package is designed for companies looking to maintain their working capital, by spreading the cost of the equipment out via regular payments over the term period.

For businesses still seeking adaptability and a shorter-term commitment, the operational lease offers both short- and long-term rental plans.

Jussi Vanhanen, chief markets officer at Kempower, said: “In today’s world, where the cost of capital is high, we’ve listened to our customers and responded with financing solutions that increase payment flexibility to our customers, and can make EV charger deployment easier and more affordable.

“These financing solutions will be designed to maximise customer capital for efficiency, enabling them to invest in growth with smaller upfront investments.”

DLL said its partnership with Kempower aligns with its commitment to supporting the shift towards cleaner energy and decarbonisation, as well as energy-efficient equipment for its partners and end-users.

Adrian Leach, DLL’s head of global energy transition, shared: “We are excited to partner with Kempower, an organisation who shares in our ambition of being a ‘transition partner for a better world’.

“This partnership will provide Kempower’s customers access to financing solutions that can enable them to obtain the equipment they need to be successful.”
