Key appointments announced at Tantalum

Telematics connected car service provider Tantalum Corporation has made five new appointments to its senior team as part of its strategy to pursue global rollout of the connected car ecosystem.

Cédriane de Boucaud Truell, CEO of Tantalum, celebrating the firm’s listing in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 for a second year running.

Steve Midgley joins as a board director from Amazon Web Services, where he was head (president) of Europe, Middle East and Africa, leading the establishment of AWS across EMEA.

Meanwhile Stefan Foryszewski will head up the payment platform side of the business and brings a career as an innovator across payment platforms, including Visa and Tungsten Corporation, where he developed some of the most sophisticated solutions currently in use.

Matthew Waite becomes technology director and has held senior development and product positions within Ericsson, BlackBerry and Hutchison Whampoa, where he was COO of the social mobile start-up INQ mobile.

Matthew Pencharz, who was deputy mayor for environment under boris johnson, has been appointed as strategic Advisor to develop Tantalum’s Business-to-Government offering and is specifically looking at emissions-based monitoring and charging using Tantalum’s real-time dynamic engine emissions monitoring technology.

Finally, Tony Lowe will become technology delivery director. He was formerly co-founder of the JLR Connected Car department, where he developed and delivered the Jaguar / Land Rover InControl product across 19 key markets.
