The fourth-generation model brings all-new styling, with the biggest changes seen at the front where the headlights are moved away from the grille and further up the side of the bonnet. As a result, the familiar ‘tiger-nose’ grille has been widened and lowered, giving a bolder front-end.

The side profile gains a portier, more raked design, with a roofline that tapers slightly towards the rear of the car, longer front overhangs, shorter rear overhangs and longer wheelbase.

The rear is inspired by the 2013 Kia Provo concept car and gains a strip that runs the width of the rear whilst the indicator and reversing lights moved further down.

The design of the new Sportage has been led by Kia’s European design studio in Frankfurt, Germany, with input from the brand’s Namyang, Korea and Irvine, California design centres.
