Kia unveils China-only models at Shanghai
Kia has unveiled two new cars at the Shanghai Motor Show, both of which are designed, engineered and built exclusively for Chinese buyers.
The line-up includes the new Pegas compact sedan, which is aimed at young buyers and brings a 2,570mm wheelbase along with boot capacity of up to 475 litres to enhance practicality.
Engine line-up brings a 95hp 1.4-litre multi-point injection gasoline engine with a choice of a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic.
The new Pegas will go on sale across China in the second half of 2017.
Kia also unveiled its K2 Cross, which updates the K2 hatchback (badged as the Rio in other markets) with SUV elements including an extra 45mm ground clearance, roof rails and body cladding.
The new K2 Cross is available with a choice of a 100hp 1.4-litre and a 123hp 1.6-litre petrol engine with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Following its debut at Auto Shanghai 2017, the new K2 Cross will go on sale in China during Q2 2017.
