Largest Shell fuel retail site in the world opens in Luxembourg

By / 8 years ago / News / No Comments

30 times larger than the average European fuel retail site, the upgraded forecourt brings a wider entrance for customers driving large vehicles, and a triple refuelling offering that helps reduce refuelling time for trucks by up to 50%. Customers need only swipe their card once to enable them to refuel all tanks, including AdBlue tanks, at the same time.

The newly installed interactive screens at the pumps are complete with multiple card payment options and information available in 13 languages. In addition, new monitoring systems have been installed to offer added security to help provide customers with peace of mind while on their journey.

The Truck Point on the forecourt has been refurbished and a new meal offer for truckers is available in the main building.

Meanwhile WiFi is offered at designated hot spots that include comfortable seating options both indoors and outdoors on the terrace.

Multiple payment facilities are offered such as the euroShell card (single and multi).

István Kapitány, executive vice president, Shell Retail, commented: “Berchem is an example of a retail site that is designed with the customer truly at the heart. I am proud that we are able to open another site where customers feel treated like guests and hopefully leave with a smile. I’m pleased that we have successfully partnered with so many other brands that are committed to delivering the best customer experience both for business and leisure needs, helping to make every customer’s journey a more enjoyable one.”
