Last Mile Solutions, a European specialist in electric vehicle charging and smart energy management platforms, is expanding into the UK.

Giles Shrimpton, business development director for the UK

Already present in 22 European countries, the business works with charge point operators and e-mobility service providers. Its platform connects more than 200,000 charge points directly and over 600,000 charge points through its roaming network.

Backed by nearly 15 years of experience, the pan-European company manages over one million active charge cards and 3.5 million charging transactions per month.

Last Mile Solutions is now expanding operations to the UK market, offering flexibility, interoperability and international expertise for those looking to “step up” their EV charging business.

The company, which has seen strong growth in recent years and grew revenue more than 100% in 2023, said the move was a natural step in its growth plans.

The business will also continue its work on new technological innovations, such as vehicle-to-grid and smart charging solutions, and by being at the forefront of industry standards, like OCPP and OCPI.

Giles Shrimpton, business development director for the UK, said: “We are proud to bring unparalleled European expertise to the UK. CPOs and eMSPs need a reliable and experienced partner who is fully conforming to UK requirements. Our solution is fully adapted and compatible with the market’s specific characteristics, such as payment options and taxation.”

Joris Hupperets, chief commercial officer at Last Mile Solutions, added: “We are excited to introduce our comprehensive solutions for CPOs and eMSPs to the UK market. Our offering, including advanced billing, payment, and smart charging solutions, will provide unique benefits to providers of home, office, and public charging solutions. Under Giles’ leadership, we are confident in building a robust UK presence and supporting clients with our international expertise.”
