LeasePlan USA and ride-hailing firm Lyft have partnered to bring fleets a joined-up mobility solution.

LeasePlan USA is offering an integrated mobility solution with Lyft.

According to Jeff Schlesinger, president & CEO at LeasePlan USA, a number of the company’s clients are looking to better control fleet speed, including ride hailing, while many are also incorporating policies to address growing usage of point-to-point services.

The LeasePlan-Lyft relationship will target this gap in the marketplace, providing companies with integrated mobility. Examples include enabling fleet drivers to book the Lyft ride-hailing service when a vehicle is in for repair without the hassle of expense reporting.

All rides will also be carbon neutral, following Lyft’s recent carbon offset announcement, tying in with LeasePlan’s sustainability strategy, which aims to achieve net zero emissions from its total fleet by 2030.

“Together with LeasePlan USA, we’re looking forward to providing thousands of organisations with better alternatives to traditional fleets – creating more flexibility and convenience, alongside better access to data,” said Ben Sternsmith, area vice president of Lyft Business. “This partnership is a key step toward improving people’s lives with the world’s best transportation.”
