LeasePlan and Xylem aim to achieve a 15% reduction CO2 emission by 2020.

At a recent global supplier conference LeasePlan received the 2016 supplier recognition award.

In 2015 Xylem had a fleet of 1500 vehicles in 18 countries independently operated, with variety of different, country-specific car policies across the world. Under a sourcing project called “LeanFleet” Xylem chose LeasePlan as its single source supplier.

LeasePlan International developed and implemented Xylem’s global fleet policy, optimised their company cars supplier base and helped obtain real time data enabling cost reduction. LeasePlan and Xylem work together to achieve a 15% reduction CO2 emission from the vehicle fleet by the end of 2020.

Tony Milando, SVP business transformation & continuous improvement at Xylem Inc, said: “Fleet management continues to be a complex and constantly evolving landscape. This includes not only managing cost, but also managing people, company sustainability and profit. At the same time we have to take into account country-specific regulations and market changes. We are impressed with LeasePlan International’s dedicated strategic account management and their pro-active support in these areas.”
