LEVC appoints first dealer in Netherlands
Taxi and EV manufacturer LEVC has appointed its first dealer in the Netherlands in line with the build-up to the launch of its VN5 range-extender electric van.
Stern Lijnden will sell the existing TX Taxi and TX Shuttle variants in Amsterdam and the surrounding area, joined by the VN5 in spring 2021.
Part of the nationwide Stern dealer group, the premises will provide full sales and after sales support.
It’s the latest dealer to join LEVC’s expanding European network, which already includes five dealers in Germany and will cover 21 European countries by the end of 2021.
Joerg Hofmann, LEVC CEO, commented: “We are pleased to expand our official dealer network into another key European market with the appointment of Stern Lijnden, a highly experienced and professional automotive business in the Netherlands. The LEVC brand can now be introduced to a range of Dutch business owners who are keen to make the shift to greener mobility operations. It’s also another important milestone as we continue our export strategy to operate in 21 countries by the end of 2021.”
LEVC also continues to expand its trials with major fleets to test the VN5 prior to its imminent arrival. The real-world trials include operators such as BT Group, Kier Group, Royal Mail and DPD; in total, more than 25 business partners in total are taking part.
The VN5 will operate in the one-tonne sector, using the same eCity range-extender technology as the TX. This gives a zero-emissions capable range of 61 miles (98km) and a total range of more than 300 miles (484 km) , and with up to 5.5m3 capacity, VN5 cargo capacity easily accommodates two Euro sized pallets with a gross payload of 830kg.
Jasper Boxem, site manager at Stern Lijnden, said: “With the upcoming launch of the VN5 we will be able to offer a light commercial vehicle equipped to handle the needs of a commercial customer as well as the environmental agenda of urban areas.”
