Lexus points to possible RC convertible with LF-C2 concept
The 2+2 roadster design study features no roof or cabin covering and uses a striking angular design with a reworked version of Lexus’s signature spindle grille design with a braided mesh effect that changes appearance when viewed from different angles and in different light. The brand’s triangular LED headlights seen on its sports cars are also used whilst vents in the front bumper direct cooling air to the brakes and help manage airflow to keep the front end stable at high speed.
The rear end features L-shaped taillights, chrome-tipped quad exhaust pipes and a pronounced new rear diffuser design. The concept is fitted with five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and uses golden yellow paintwork with a multi-layered process.
Interior features include a central video monitor controlled by a Remote Touchpad and a classic analogue clock set between the central air vents along with LED lights that run the length of the interior below the window line
Jeff Bracken, Lexus US Group vice president and general manager, said: ‘This concept shows consumers around the world Lexus’s devotion to emotional designs and its passion for an exceptional driving experience.’
