Lightfoot has made three senior appointments as the fleet telematics specialist gears up for international growth.

The new recruits strengthen its sales and data departments – and bolster plans to expand its offering across Europe, North America and beyond.

Donato Quagliariello joins as international sales channel director, tasked with leading Lightfoot’s reseller and partner expansion into mainland Europe. He has held several senior positions across the automotive sector, including as director in France for Quartix and sales and marketing director for Optimum Automotive.

Quagliariello said: “Lightfoot has a unique value proposition by engaging with every driver, every day, supporting our clients’ safety, environmental and social corporate goals, and giving fleet managers the insight they need to be more efficient, eco-friendly and cost-effective.

“Expanding Lightfoot’s footprint internationally with our strategic partners – insurance and brokers and resellers – will make driving for work safer and more sustainable: two missions close to my heart.”

Matt Wallis has also been appointed as the new commercial lead for Winnie – Lightfoot’s workplace app to gamify and reward business-critical behaviours. Wallis is a former managing director of Kuantic, the connected vehicle data business that’s now part of Stellantis, and was previously European sales director at Opia, as well as EMEA sales director at MiTAC.

Finally, Luke Huxham has been appointed as head of data. He joins from Epic Games where he was senior analytics engineer for the Epic Game Store. He was previously head of data and analytics at Full Fibre and also spent time at Openreach building next-generation testing capabilities.

Welcoming the new team members, Lightfoot managing director Paul Hollick said: “With businesses in Europe increasingly focusing on vehicle and driver safety, operational efficiency and, in particular, decarbonisation, this is an exciting time for the sector, and for Lightfoot.

“That’s because we know our innovative offering will provide fleet operators with the data and insight to build safer and more efficient vehicle operations – we are a solution that is totally different in the market.

“Our platform integrates seamlessly with existing fleet and telematics systems, while we can also serve as a powerful stand-alone solution, combining in-cab driver coaching technology with an employee focused rewards app to deliver safety improvements and decarbonisation reductions for fleets – something we know is of paramount importance in all blue-chip companies in the European markets.”
