Manheim Remarketing strengthens commercial vehicle presence with senior appointment
James will continue to develop and lead the existing national commercial vehicle team and remain the figurehead of Manheim’s commercial vehicle business. However the new position will enable him to further enhance and drive the delivery of the overall commercial vehicle business strategy, building on the many successes already enjoyed in 2011 to date including record breaking sales figures and new client wins.
James Davis has nearly 20 years experience of vehicle remarketing having worked at Central Motor Auctions, National Car Auctions and Lex Transfleet before joining Manheim in 2004 as Regional CV manager for the South. In 2006 Davis was promoted to Group Commercial Vehicle manager and most recently in early 2010 he took the role of General manager, Commercial Vehicle Operations.
James Davis, commented: ‘This appointment underlines Manheim’s commitment to its commercial vehicle business. This strategic role provides over arching support, input and leadership to the sales and operations functions. The commercial vehicle remarketing industry faces a significant challenge due to the expected shortage of stock in the coming years and I look forward to leading the team and reinforcing our industry-leading position.’
Mike Pilkington, managing director, Manheim Remarketing added: ‘This announcement strengthens our commitment to commercial vehicle remarketing and means that Manheim further enhances its industry-leading position, benefiting from having the most experienced and dedicated commercial vehicle team.’
