Mark Group chooses Ctrack to help manage 500-strong UK commercial fleet
The Ctrack solution will enable Mark Group to access useful business and operational intelligence in order to reduce fleet costs as well improve productivity and enhance customer service.
Mark Group will integrate Ctrack’s technology with other back-office systems to boost its reporting and measurement capabilities. This will provide a better understanding of the field service operation and its performance in relation to overall business objectives.
The new solution will combine Ctrack’s server-and web-based systems – “Ctrack MaXx” and “Ctrack Online” – to support multiple users across 14 sites in the UK, including Mark Group’s head office in Leicester. As a result, regional managers will be able to better manage their local installation teams by knowing the exact location and status of mobile resources in real-time. Meanwhile, centrally based administrators will utilise the powerful reporting package to effectively analyse and benchmark operational data, so critical business intelligence can be quickly shared across the organisation.
Mark Group will also use the tracking solution as an important part of its driver performance programme, by monitoring driver behaviour and incentivising employees to achieve greater levels of efficiency and environmental responsibility. In particular, the Company will use the Ctrack system’s intelligent dashboard to identify areas of underperformance such as speeding, harsh braking, over-revving, excessive idling and route deviations.
Ross James, Logistics director at Mark Group, said: ‘The tracking solution from Ctrack will provide us with the necessary insight, visibility and control to not only improve our operational performance, but also promote road safety and environmental responsibility. And, in the future, we hope to explore appropriate options for our car fleet operation as well.’
Mark Naldrett, Sales director of Ctrack, added: ‘Our tracking solutions include one of the most sophisticated business analysis packages currently available in the marketplace. Therefore, companies can not only better manage their fleet operation, but also unlock valuable knowledge about the needs and challenges of their business by understanding all aspects of fleet, driver and vehicle activity.’
This news follows Mark Group’s recent investment in a fleet of new aerodynamically designed commercial vehicles, helping reduce the Company’s fuel costs and further improve efficiency across its logistics operations.
