Masternaut bolsters pan-European executive management team with new hires
The senior hires, who, together bring more than 80 years of senior management experience within the high-tech and telematics arenas, mark an important period in Masternaut’s corporate evolution.
Following the merger of Cybit and Masternaut in the second quarter of 2011, the new company (which retained the name, “Masternaut”) announced a series of deals, including a strategic agreement to jointly develop and market machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions with Telefonica.
Today, Masternaut is the only telematics solutions provider with pan-European geographic reach, the broadest B2B solutions portfolio, and a 100-strong research and development team. The company is poised for further growth and expansion, and with the new management team in place, can nimbly deliver the benefits of a pan-European organisation to more of its customers.
In addition to ensuring the strategic implementation of Masternaut’s go-to-market strategy, the executives have been tasked with evangelising “telematics 2.0” as one of the fastest-growing and most promising business-to-business technologies; one that delivers both cost savings as well as “green” benefits, such as helping companies reduce their carbon footprint.
Commenting on the executive appointments, Masternaut chief executive officer, Bill Henry, said: 'Moving forward, we have plans that involve achieving rapid growth in new markets, whilst consolidating our leadership position in more mature markets. All the while, we are listening to customers, ensuring innovation across our product and services portfolio, and exploring new business models that will help more mid-to-large size companies enjoy the business benefits of telematics.'
