Commenting on the deal, Jan Cools, CEO of Be-Mobile, said: ‘Extending our services into Luxembourg represents another step forward for the Be-Mobile strategy of internationalisation, and servicing Mercedes-Benz cements our position as a major player for the supply of traffic and mobility data within the automotive industry.’

The mobility and traffic data will enable drivers to avoid traffic jams, predict traffic times and dodge road works through features including:

  • Alerts on traffic jams and road works: These will enable motorists to plot alternative routes that bypass clogged highway arteries.
  • Predicted journey times: Be-Mobile provides all Mercedes drivers a proactive prediction system directly to their in-car system giving them control over their mobility.

Guy Michels, business development, Mercedes-Benz Luxembourg, said: ‘Be-Mobile was chosen because of their commitment to quality of data and service. We here at Mercedes-Benz, believe that Be-Mobiles expertise means that Mercedes drivers will have the most precise, accurate and up-to-the-minute traffic information covering Luxembourg.’
