Monta appoints UK-based CFO to drive global growth strategy
Electric vehicle charging platform Monta has appointed James Eyton as chief financial officer (CFO).
Eyton joins recently appointed chief revenue officer Eleanor O’Neill, strengthening the company’s capacity to scale and execute its growth strategy on the back of an €80m funding round in late 2024.
He delivers extensive experience in corporate finance, M&A and international business strategy, having worked across B2B and B2C businesses in the US, Asia-Pacific and Europe. He has a proven track record in scaling businesses worldwide, successfully driving financial growth, operational excellence and strategic expansion.
Eyton will be based in Monta’s London office, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its presence across Europe and strengthening its financial operations at an international level. While Monta has its roots in Denmark, Eyton is committed to strengthening the EV charging platform’s brand across multiple markets – ensuring it is recognised as a leader in the global EV charging space.
“My focus will be on building scalable financial systems, supporting operational excellence, and working closely with our exceptional teams to expand Monta’s global presence,” added Eyton.
“James’ global perspective, strategic mindset and extensive experience in scaling companies make him the perfect fit for Monta,” said Casper Rasmussen, CEO of Monta. “With James on board, alongside Eleanor O’Neill, we have a leadership team fully equipped to accelerate our international growth and maintain our position as a market leader.”
