The appointment marks a pivotal moment for the business following its announcement of US expansion in late 2024 and an €80m (£64.8m) funding round earlier in the year, as the company continues to scale operations and drive innovation within the rapidly evolving EV ecosystem.

O’Neill brings more than 20 years of sales, revenue, engineering and customer success experience in the SaaS industry, and will form a key part of Monta’s leadership team.

In her new role, she will be instrumental in scaling Monta’s operations globally, with a remit of delivering a joined-up commercial strategy that ensures exceptional results for Monta’s customers.

O’Neill commented: “Monta’s vision and commitment to innovation is truly inspiring and I’m eager to help drive the company’s ambitious growth goals.

“I am committed to delivering exceptional results for Monta’s customers and I believe the combination of my commercial experience and deep technical knowledge puts me in a very good position to deliver the company’s growth towards being a global leader.”

Casper Rasmussen, CEO of Monta, said: “We were particularly impressed by Eleanor’s diverse experience, technical expertise and her highly analytical approach.

“Her engineering background combined with her commercial and customer success experience makes her a world-class asset for a company such as ours. In an ever-changing industry, we must make sure we stay ahead of the competition, and that means having a streamlined strategy between all departments… and she will deliver this! I can’t wait to work with Eleanor to scale Monta to new heights.”
