NAFA announces new dates for International Fleet Academy

By / 10 years ago / News / No Comments

Originally scheduled for 14-16 July at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, NAFA’s IFA will now take place 5-7 November 2014 at the same hotel.

In announcing the change in dates, NAFA’s CEO, Phillip E Russo, noted that a large event in Orlando is causing sold-out situations at NAFA’s hotel as well as surrounding facilities.

‘We learned earlier this week that Rosen Shingle Creek was in a sold-out position over the dates of our IFA due to a large event taking place there. As a result, NAFA would not have access to the full block of sleeping rooms we would need. This is akin to how the airlines typically overbook flights and hope for no-shows or cancellations. The prudent action for NAFA to take is to move our dates now so we can give our attendees as much lead-time notice as possible to change their travel plans,’ he said.

Last week saw the association announce the line-up for the event, which will see International Fleet World managing editor Ross Durkin form part of the line-up of leading global fleet professionals covering a range of topics aimed specifically at international fleet operators.
