NAFA’s Institute & Expo to focus on education
Some of the I&E’s “future-thinking” sessions include:
Fleet 2025 – Strategic Fleet Planning: Strategic fleet planning is increasingly critical for fleet managers as proper planning today will help attendees prepare for and position fleets for long term success. Speakers will discuss the vehicles, technology, and systems of tomorrow that will be vastly different from those that are in place today.
The VMT Road Tax Era is Near: As drivers look to sustainable, alt-fuel options, diesel and petrol tax revenue is poised to take a hit. The solution: drivers will install a device in their cars that record not how much fuel they buy, but how many miles they’ve run, and they will pay per mile based upon that. If successful, this could signal a radical shift for every vehicle driver. This session will feature Richard T. Baker, Associate Research Scientist, Texas A&M Transportation Institute, Austin, TX.
Preparing For A Millennial Workforce: Right now, millennials only make up 10-15% of the workforce and they are already changing the ways people look at things and do business. This will dramatically increase over the next five years. What should we know now to be prepared to cultivate productive business relationships with this generation? This session will discuss the work-life expectations of this new wave of fleet professionals.
This is just a sampling of the four days of education to be found at NAFA's Institute & Expo, which attracts thousands of fleet professionals from throughout the world for four days of education, networking, and motivation to bring back to the office.
“NAFA is confident that attendees will be impressed by what they find at this year's conference,” commented NAFA chief executive officer, Phillip E. Russo. “And, what's more, they will be bringing this transformative information back to their organizations to make substantive changes and improvements.”
