Skoda’s facelifted Fabia and Fabia estate bring improved fuel consumption and CO2 emissions from 99g/km for 2017.

Skoda Fabia 1.0 TSI – Monte Carlo

Making their debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the third-generation model gains the three-cylinder 1.0 TSI unit also featuring in the facelifted Octavia and Rapid and Rapid Spaceback models. 

Available in 95hp and 110hp variants, the new engine replaces the previous four-cylinder 90hp and 110hp 1.2 TSI unit and brings improved fuel consumption and emissions figures along with enhanced performance. Torque for the 95hp 1.0 TSI with manual five-speed transmission remains unchanged at 160Nm, yet the top speed has increased by 3kph to 185kph (from 185 to 187kph for the estate) while the acceleration from 0 to 100kph has improved by 0.3 seconds to 10.6 seconds (from 11.0 to 10.8 seconds for the estate). Combined fuel economy figures and CO2 improve from 4.6l/100km and 105g/km to 4.3l/100km and 99g/km for both the hatchback and Estate.

For the more powerful 110hp 1.0-litre engine with manual six-speed transmission, torque has increased from 175 to 200Nm and manages 0-62mph in 9.5 seconds (9.6 for the estate). Top speed is 196kph (199kph for the estate). 

In the manual versions of the hatchback and Combi, the fuel consumption and emissions of the 110hp have dropped by 0.3l to 4.4l/100km with 101g CO2/km. For the DSG-transmission versions, the fuel consumption has reduced in both variants by 0.1l to 4.5l/100lm (104g CO2/km).

Technology updates see the introduction of the optional Skoda Connect services. Also recently introduced to the Octavia, these consist of Infotainment Online and CareConnect services, with the latter offering emergency and breakdown functionality.
