New chief executive officer at Alphabet Germany
Uwe Hildinger has joined Alphabet Germany as chief executive officer, succeeding Ursula Wingfield.
Hildinger started his career with Alphabet in 2008 as managing director of Alphabet Germany’s Munich office. Following that, he held roles as head of operations as well as head of sales and marketing for Alphabet Germany before becoming chief sales officer at Alphabet International and, most recently, CEO at Alphabet GB.
Before joining Alphabet, he held various positions at LHS Leasing where he’s credited with having successfully integrated LHS Sales into Alphabet Germany.
Commenting on his new role, Hildinger said: “I’m really looking forward to this new task. With a strong team and a clear strategy, we will set the course for a successful future as a leading provider of holistic and sustainable Business Mobility solutions – even in challenging times like these.”
Marco Lessacher, CEO Alphabet International added: “I am very happy that we were able to win Uwe for this position. His ideas, personal qualities and range of experience in the fleet business are unrivalled. With these qualifications he fits perfectly to this role and we’re pleased to welcome him back to the German Alphabet family.”
Uwe Hildinger is being replaced by Clive Buhagiar as interim chief operating officer at Alphabet GB, and succeeds Ursula Wingfield who will take on a new position at BMW Financial Services UK.
“I wish Ursula the best of luck and we are grateful for everything she has achieved during her tenure at Alphabet Germany. She truly further developed the company successfully,” added Marco Lessacher.
