New diesel engines and kit for Renault Koleos
Renault has updated its Koleos with two new diesel engines, revised styling and upgraded technology.
The refreshed model, which starts deliveries in October, replaces the former 1.6-litre unit with a new 150hp 1.8-litre Blue dCi 150, available in front-wheel drive only and emitting 143g/km of CO2 with 340Nm. The line-up also gets a larger 190hp 2.0-litre Blue dCi 190 fitted with Renault’s intelligent All Mode 4×4-i and delivering an official 150g/km of CO2 and 380Nm. An X-Tronic continuously variable transmission is standard across the range.
The updated model also gets a refreshed exterior design including more prominent grille, new chrome trim, larger skid plates and standard-fit LED headlamps plus new alloy wheel designs and additional colour options while the interior has been enhanced with new high-grade materials and a two-stage reclining seat back on all models.
Other changes see introduction of an upgraded R-Link 2 infotainment systems with full-screen Apple CarPlay while driver aids have been extended with the introduction of a pedestrian detection function for the Active Emergency Braking System (AEBS). This follows the addition of standard adaptive cruise control late last year.
In line with Renault’s new EasyLife range simplification strategy, the Koleos is available in two trim levels – Iconic and GT-Line – which bring standard kit including, adaptive cruise control, dual zone climate control, keyless entry, ambient interior lighting, hands-free parking and a reversing camera.
