The new electric Fiat 500 has been revealed, offering a 320km range, as well as a new leasing offer to customers enabling access via Leasys to all vehicles made by FCA Group.

The first edition ‘Prima’ model, showcases a new front-end design with subtle-aggressive tones to the headlights, as well as a new nose and badging.

The electric car features a 42kWh lithium-ion battery that Fiat says should provide up to 320km range per charge. The battery can be recharged at up to 85kW charge rates, meaning 0-80% should take 35 minutes, or a five-minute recharge will provide roughly 50km of range.

Like the recently launched Fiat 500 Hybrid, the new electric model features components made from recycled sea-recovered plastics and there’s even a pebble-inspired key fob.

The new car comes with level 2 autonomous driving capability and is the first FCA car equipped with the fifth generation UConnect 5 infotainment system, available with 10.25-inch screen. The car comes equipped with an array of safety systems too, including: Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (iACC) and Lane Centering, Traffic-sign recognition, Autonomous Emergency Brake with pedestrian and cyclist recognition, Intelligent Speed Assistant, Lane Control, High resolution rear camera, Automatic twilight and high beam sensors, Emergency call and Electronic parking brake.

With the purchase of the new Fiat 500, customers will also have access to FCA Group’s “My Dream Garage” – an exclusive subscription mobility service provided by Leasys, which allows all cars produced by FCA Group to be booked “on demand”.

The company says that customers of the Fiat 500 electric will be able to occasionally choose to drive another vehicle, such as a 500X, 500L, or an Alfa Romeo Giulia or Stelvio, or even an American SUV like the Jeep Wrangler, Compass or Renegade.

Pricing for the Fiat 500 electric ‘Prima’ will start from around €37,900 (OTR) in Italy, including the Easy Wallbox.
