New York Auto Show News: Infiniti to debut QX60 Hybrid

By / 12 years ago / News / No Comments

Based on the now-renamed seven-seat Infiniti JX35 that was launched early last year, the Hybrid version of the QX60 uses a 2.5-litre supercharged engine and 15kW electric motor with a lithium-ion battery and a CVT transmission, giving a total 250PS of power.

The model, which joins the Q70 Hybrid (renamed from the M Hybrid) and previously announced Q50 Hybrid models, is set to offer a 24% increase in fuel efficiency to 26mpg – expected to be the best-in-class for any seven-seat luxury crossover according to the brand. Importantly, it will carry a premium of £3,000 over the standard model and Infiniti also says there’s no compromise of performance, interior roominess or cargo space compared to non-hybrid QX60 models.

The Hybrid will be offered with all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive and joins the Infiniti lineup in the summer.
