Nigerian leasing firm signs contract with Chevin Fleet Solutions
Part of The AG Leventis Group, and the main agent for Volkswagen trucks in West Africa, Leventis Motors offers a range of leasing options for commercial vehicle operators and runs a workshop operation to ensure its customers’ vehicles are safe, optimised and roadworthy.
The workshop was traditionally managed via a combination of spreadsheets and paper-based administration but Leventis Motors recognised a need to join up its fleet management with the company’s wider Enterprise Resource Planning tool, Microsoft Dynamics.
In addition, following close scrutiny of existing fleet process management methods, senior workshop personnel at Leventis Motors decided upon a move towards web-based centralisation of fleet data and automation of processes, such as routine vehicle maintenance scheduling.
As well as utilising the standard repair and maintenance scheduling functionality, Leventis Motors will also be introducing a Tyre’s Module – designed to manage the repair and replacement cycles more efficiently, whilst enabling mangers to report on a series of tyre-related KPIs, such as economy Vs branded performance and durability.
Commenting on the decision to select FleetWave from Chevin Fleet Solutions, purchasing support co-ordinator Max Thomson said: 'Streamlining the management of the fleet is a core objective for Leventis Motors and one which, if achieved, will support the firm’s growth strategy over the coming years. It was therefore imperative that we selected a tried and tested application, with proven ability to deliver the required results.
'FleetWave will enhance process management by linking with our Microsoft system, remove the need for excess manual administration and spreadsheets and provide a safety net for managers to quickly monitor and effectively manage crucial data relating to fuel usage, equipment auditing, trips and loads and driver licensing.'
The Leventis Motors’ bespoke FleetWave system is currently being developed at Chevin’s headquarters in Derbyshire, UK, and is scheduled to go live during the first quarter of 2013.
