Nissan GB has appointed Ed Jones as its new sales director, effective 16 June 2025.

Ed Jones, incoming sales director at Nissan GB

Jones returns to the business after seven years with Audi UK and succeeds Michael Auliar, who leaves at the end of March to take on a new role outside of the company.

Jones brings extensive experience from previous dealer, sales, fleet and EV product roles. During his time at Audi UK, he worked as national contract hire and leasing manager and, more recently, overseeing sales operations.

In his first spell at Nissan he held a variety of roles across sales and marketing, accelerating quickly through the ranks.

His return coincides with the brand’s mounting plans for the launch of the next-generation Leaf, which will be built alongside the Qashqai and Juke at its Sunderland plant in the UK.

“I’m delighted to be returning at such an exciting time,” Jones said. “Nissan was the only brand with two models in the top five best-sellers in 2024 and, with increased market share and double-digit sales growth, it’s a brand with real momentum in 2025.

“With Nissan’s rich heritage in innovation, I am delighted to be joining the brand as it looks ahead to some exciting new technologies and a great choice of electric and electrified vehicles. I look forward to working with colleagues within the brand and across the retailer network.”

Mayra González, divisional vice president marketing and sales Europe, said his experience would be invaluable for the brand’s upcoming product launches.

“Ed will help accelerate our business transformation plans, and lead our sales and dealer teams to continued success in the future.”
