On sale in Germany from March, the new model is marked out for being the most economical Opel presently on the market and the most economical diesel available.

The three-door 95PS 1.3 CDTI ecoFlex comes with Start/Stop technology fitted as standard, braking energy recuperation and low-rolling-resistance tyres along with the new Easytronic 3.0 transmission, which has been designed to combine the advantages of an automatic transmission with the efficiency of a manual transmission and automatically selects the most fuel-efficient gear.

‘Our automated five-speed manual transmission in the new Corsa is a real highlight for price-conscious customers who do not want to miss the comfort of an automatic,’ said Peter Christian Küspert, vice president sales & aftersales Opel Group. ‘When combined with the frugal diesel the small car becomes an efficiency giant. Therefore, it is perfect for both short urban shopping trips and longer journeys.’
