The move, which forms part of the company’s ongoing expansion overseas, includes the appointment of Shanghai-based Danvers Dai to Paragon’s business development team. Danvers is working closely with Paragon’s UK team to explore new business opportunities in mainland China.

In addition, Liz Zheng, a Supply Chain & Logistics Management graduate from Cranfield University, has joined Paragon’s Dorking-based Support Team.

Following the implementation of simplified Chinese into its software in November 2012, Paragon announced its national street level mapping for routing vehicles in mainland China six months later, giving Paragon users the ability to create optimised routes and schedules for their transport operations in China using accurate data.

‘These new appointments confirm our commitment to China,’ commented William Salter, Paragon’s managing director. ‘We are gradually expanding our operations into the Far East, and we recently launched national street level mapping for routing vehicles in Japan. We believe we are now well on our way to further expanding our operations for customers operating in the Far East, and having a local presence in China will deliver real benefits for our Chinese client base, which includes some leading players in food distribution, third party logistics, automotive and gas distribution.’
