Peugeot gives UK fleet debut to new 208 at Silverstone show
Peugeot will also unveil the 508 RXH with its latest ground breaking diesel-electric HYbrid4 technology at the Show on April 18 to an expected audience of more than 500 fleet decision makers.
Peugeot Fleet director, Phil Robson (Inset), said: 'Peugeot sees Fleet World’s EV & Low CO2 event at Silverstone as the perfect springboard to launch the new 208 and 508 Diesel HYbrid4 product.
'The event will allow customers to get up close and personal with our new editions, from the ultra low emissions of the new 208 engine line-up and the pioneering 508 RXH, a 200bhp, 4WD vehicle which emits a meagre 107g/km of CO2 and, for a 40% taxpayer, a BIK monthly cost of only £130. The EV & Low C02 Fleet Show is the ideal opportunity with the ideal attendees to show off these exciting new products.'
The 508 RXH joins the ultra-low carbon offerings from a variety of manufacturers, including Toyota and Lexus, market leaders in hybrid powertrain development, who will have a number of their latest models on offer.
And the newest manufacturer to sign up, luxury car maker Infiniti, whose M35h hybrid saloon was best in class at last year’s ALD Automotive / Shell FuelSave MPG Marathon, will also be at the Show.
Ross Durkin, managing editor of organisers, Fleet World, said: 'We are delighted that Peugeot has chosen the EV & Low CO2Fleet Show to launch its new 208 supermini to fleets. The new model has the bulk of its engines under the 99g/km limit and this will make it extremely efficient from a company car tax point of view. The new 208 seems certain to attract a lot of attention from show visitors.
'This year’s Show will give fleet decision makers a unique insight into the many and varied engine technologies that are available today, from the very latest low carbon diesel and petrol models, to both petrol and now diesel electric hybrids and through to pure electric vehicle offerings.
'The Show brings together not only the wide array of products and technologies that are available, but also provides the opportunity to understand the different strategies being adopted by the various motor manufacturers at the event.
'It is our intention to provide visitors to the show with the opportunity to experience current products, learn from the manufacturers what they are planning, and to hear from independent experts what they think the future holds for fleets.'
