He brings over 20 years of fleet industry experience, including 11 years at Renault UK, culminating in his most recent role as national corporate sales manager. Horton was also previously conversions manager and corporate sales manager, and has worked with some of the UK’s biggest fleet customers in the last decade.

In his new position, Horton will oversee the brand’s entire fleet sales division and also becomes responsible for remarketing and residual value management.

The appointment reinforces Renault’s work to accelerate its ‘Renaulution’ strategy and expand its fleet offering through a number of important new additions in 2022.

Highlights include the official arrival of the fully electric Mégane E-Tech this year and the latest-generation Kangoo van, which will include an all-electric version.

Horton outlined: “The fleet industry is experiencing an unprecedented and significant shift in the channel mix, all of which has been driven by changing global conditions. With a fantastic team and an excellent product portfolio that seeks to combine customers’ requirements in terms of electrification, connectivity and availability, we are in a strong position to help fleets with all their future mobility needs.”

Guillaume Sicard, Renault’s country head UK & managing director, said Horton was a huge asset to the business.

“His extensive experience will prove invaluable as we enter the next stage of our ‘Renaulution’ strategy, which will see us ramp up our electrification plans and significantly enhance our zero-emissions-in-use offering to business users.”
