Renault expands SUV range in South America

Renault has unveiled three new SUVS at the Sao Paulo International Motor Show as the South American SUV market continues to expand.

The carmaker debuted its Koleos and Captur models alongside the Kwid show car, demonstrating technologies including connectivity solutions and large multimedia displays, to hands-free controls, traction control, hill start assist, hands-free entry, four airbags, etc.

South America’s SUV market has nearly doubled in just two years and Fabrice Cambolive, CEO, Renault do Brasil, commented: “These three new SUVs are key to our growth strategy in Brazil. They incorporate Renault’s new global visual brand identity and bring advanced connectivity to facilitate the lives of our customers.”

Renault also displayed its new 1.0 SCe and 1.6 SCe engines, which bring new technology to their classes, including a double overhead camshaft (DOHC) and ESC, plus fuel consumption savings of approximately 20% according to the brand.
