Renault launches “Cargo” version of Twizy EV for fleets

By / 11 years ago / News / No Comments

Aimed primarily at delivery or express firms, such as lift operators, postal services and emergency services, the new Cargo derivative replaces the tandem seat on the standard Twizy with a lockable door giving access to a 180-litre boot capable of accepting loads up to 75kg.

Developed by Renault Tech in cooperation with Renault Sport Technologies, the Twizy Cargo is also set to offer low running costs while buyers can claim back VAT on the purchasing price and battery rental (from €50 month). The Cargo also offers the same warranty coverage as for other Twizy versions (two years unlimited mileage for the car, three years for the powertrain).

Other benefits include a protective cabin, 4-point seatbelt and airbag as well as the model’s standout design, which can be fitted with decals and customised.

The Twizy Cargo is available with the Life 45 and 80 trims. The Life 45 offers a 5hp engine with an homologated range of 120km (urban cycle ECE-15) and is limited to 45kph. The Life 80 comes with a 17hp engine and an homologated range of 100km (urban cycle ECE-15) and is limited to 80kph. Both models offer excellent agility and the ability to park almost anywhere.

The Cargo is priced from €8,080 incl. VAT (Cargo 45) and €8,780 incl. VAT (Cargo 80).
