Renault publishes first images of new Talisman Estate
Only offered in left-hand drive and not available in the UK, the estate joins the saloon model unveiled earlier this year and brings the same sleek styling but with enhanced practicality.
The new bodystyle features exactly the same dimensions as the saloon at 4,860mm long, 1,870mm wide and 1,460mm high with a 2,810mm wheelbase but offers boot space ranging from 572 litres to nearly 1,700 litres. Interior space is said to set the class benchmark, like the salon, with the estate version additionally benefiting from 30mm extra headroom at the rear, extending it to 886mm.
Like its saloon sibling, the Renault Talisman Estate will also offer the 4Control four-wheel steering system with active damping. In addition, Renault’s Multi-Sense technology offers four driver settings (‘Comfort’, ‘Sport’, ‘Neutral’ and ‘Eco’), plus a fully configurable ‘Perso’ mode.
The estate also comes with Renault’s R-Link 2 connected multimedia tablet, available in either a 7-inch landscape format or an 8.7-inch portrait format.
The new estate offers the same range of engines as the saloon version, including two petrol engines – the Energy TCe150 and the Energy TCe 200 – combined with seven-speed dual clutch EDC automatic transmission. Three diesels are also offered – the Energy dCi 110, Energy dCi 130 and twin turbo Energy dCi 160 – with the former two available with a six-speed manual gearbox or six-speed dual clutch EDC transmission whilst the twin turbo model comes solely with the EDC.
The Renault Talisman Estate will be available with a choice of four different equipment levels and will additionally be offered in the range-topping Initiale Paris trim.
