Renault reveals 2016 Mégane

By / 9 years ago / News / No Comments

Set to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the new model features the brand’s latest design language and brings styling features in common with the Talisman replacement to the Laguna, which goes on sale in Europe from the end of this year for the saloon. New styling features for the Mégane include the bold logo at the front and the C-shaped headlamps, with the surround carried into the bumper, as well as new taillights.

"On the highly competitive market of compact saloons, it was vital that New Mégane should stand out right from the first glance," said exterior designer Franck Le Gall.

The new model is also 25mm lower and wider, with a wheelbase 28mm longer and a shorter overhang.

The latest Mégane range is topped by a GT version, which will be available from launch, and brings a bespoke front bumper with a broader air intake and a honeycomb design grill plus Renaultsport badging, 18-inch alloys, two chromed tailpipes and F1-inspired spoiler.

No other details or interior shots have been revealed but Renault said it will announce the full engine line-up at Frankfurt.
