EU commercial vehicle registrations were down -2.4% in October but up up +11.6% over 10 months

Taking place on Tuesday 1 June 2021 at 2pm, the event will look in detail at journey scheduling and routing, and its impact on driver behaviour. This will include a focus on how drivers react to different road types and how to schedule journeys to ensure they are as safe as possible.

Aimed at fleet and health and safety managers, as well as transport managers and HR professionals, the webinar will also see panellists discuss how technologies can help them plot safer journeys, and what good journey scheduling and routing policies look like.

Expert speakers will include Alison Moriarty, fleet risk director, Driive; Dr Lisa Dorn, director of research and development, Driver Metrics; and Michael Zano, regional manager, SHEQ, Unitrans.

The event is being run under the Global Fleet Champions campaign, delivered by Brake.

Scott Williams, head of programme delivery at Brake, said: “Poorly planned journeys increase the chance of a crash occurring. Long hours behind the wheel and demanding schedules affect drivers’ ability to focus on the road, while routes plotted through busy areas increase the risk to other road users. This webinar will offer fleet managers a new perspective on keeping all road users safe.”
