Shanghai Motor Show: Citroën concept previews DS-badged SUV

This model joins the DS3, DS4, DS5 and the Numéro 9 concept in the DS line-up and shows how a future Citroën SUV could look after the DS treatment and the use of full-hybrid, plug-in technology.

The Wild Rubis is 4.7m long, 1.95m wide and 1.59m high – making it similar in size to the VW Touareg – and features a wheelbase of 2.9m. According to reports it’s based on the DS5 platform.

Detailing includes a front end based on the Numéro 9 concept and featuring full LED headlights plus the chrome signature on the side, roof bars and chrome casing for the tail lights.

According to reports the model will be initially offered solely to the Chinese market but may make it to the European line-up.
