Shanghai Motor Show: World premiere of MG CS urban SUV concept

By / 12 years ago / News / No Comments

The CS marks the brand’s first urban SUV and will rival models such as the Nissan Juke.

The concept is the latest result of a massive investment in the brand by MG's owner, SAIC Motor group, and has been penned by a top design team led by MG's Global design director, Anthony Williams-Kenny.

Features include headlights with a multi-faceted “shard” structure which refract light in different colours and shape from the side, but form MG's trademark octagon from the front.

The model is expected to be based on the forthcoming MG5 platform, with engine options including SAIC’s 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit.
