Making its debut this autumn at the Frankfort Motor Show in September, the new model goes on sale the same month in the first markets, just a few months after the debut of the hatchback.

Like its hatchback sibling, the new model is based on the group’s modular MQB technology and brings increased dimensions. The wheelbase has been extended by 80mm to 2,841mm while the track width has increased to 1,584mm at the front and to 1,572mm at the rear. As a result the model brings increased interior space, with head and rear knee room said to be class-leading.

Boot space is also increased and offers a benchmark 660 litres – up 27 litres compared to the previous model – rising to 1,950 litre with the rear seats folded.

Design has also been significantly updated and brings increased vehicle length, a long wheelbase, shortened front overhang, a sweeping roof line and a steeply angled rear window. 



Skoda also promises new assistance systems from higher vehicle classes for increased safety, eco-friendliness and comfort but hasn’t released details. Like the Superb hatchback, the new Superb Combi also features Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC).

Engine-line up is expected to mirror that of the hatchback and brings a range of Euro 6-compliant engines offering more power along with up to 30% improvement in fuel efficiency.

Connectivity brings the latest generation of infotainment systems automatically connects to all standard smartphones via SmartLink (MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technology) with an optional high-speed internet connection.
