Skoda teases China-only city SUV
Skoda has published design sketches of its new city SUV, which will debut at the Beijing Motor Show.
Believed to be called the Kamiq, the new model will only be sold in China, marking the brand’s third SUV in the market following the launches of the Kodiaq and Karoq.
Bearing Skoda’s familiar styling, the SUV will be key to the brand’s growth. One in four Skodas is sold in China and deliveries last year increased 2.5% to 325,000 vehicles. The carmaker had more than a 30% market share of China’s SUV sector in Q1.
