Targa Telematics has signed up as member of the BVRLA, further demonstrating its commitment to the UK rental and leasing industry.

Targa’s BVRLA membership will bring expert connected mobility insights to help the sector optimise their fleet operations

The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) represents over 1,000 companies involved in vehicle rental, leasing and fleet management, and Targa’s membership will help guide rental and leasing companies on the benefits of digital transformation enabled by connected car data.

The Italian tech company, which was founded in 2000 under the UbiEST innovation laboratory, has been working with leading European companies in the rental and leasing industry for many years, forming long-term partnerships to help identify where digital transformation can benefit their business and quickly implement bespoke solutions.

Recent developments include an award from Frost & Sullivan for ‘Uniquely Leveraging Its Technology to Meet European Vehicle Leasing and Rental Telematics Real-world Client and Market Needs’ and a string of agreements with carmakers to integrate its connected data streams, such as with BMW.

As part of a process of growth and expansion into further markets, Targa established a UK office in late 2019, working with medium to large fleets alongside rental and leasing companies, providing a consultative approach with bespoke development and solutions.

Its new tie-up with the BVRLA will help drive this further, bringing expert insights to help the sector optimise their fleet operations.

Thomas Smith, country manager UK of Targa Telematics, commented: “We are proud to be joining such a prestigious association as the BVRLA. We look forward to working with our fellow members and helping them realise the benefits that can be gained from applying connected vehicle data within their business.”

Chris Horbowyj, UK sales director at Targa Telematics, added: “Our experience in the market allows us to offer the best help to our customers in the automotive industry. Thanks to our know-how and tailored solutions, we are ideally placed to continue growing our successful partnerships with rental and leasing companies.”
